Overview
If you notice that a person’s prefix title (such as Mr., Ms., etc.) is displaying incorrectly, this article explains why it happens and what options are available.
Why Is the Wrong Title Displaying?
Our system uses a third-party .NET name library to automatically assign prefix titles.
This tool classifies names as typically masculine or feminine based on its preset database. If a name is commonly classified as male or female within that library, the corresponding title will be applied automatically.
Because this is a preset external library:
Titles are generated automatically based on the name classification.
We do not have the ability to edit or override the assigned classification.
The prefix cannot be manually changed within the system.
What Are My Options?
While the title itself cannot be modified, you can remove it from labels entirely.
To Remove the Prefix Title:
Go to Create Labels.
Locate the option labeled Include Title.
Uncheck Include Title.
Generate your labels as usual.
Once unchecked, the prefix (Mr., Ms., etc.) will no longer appear.
