Where does the improvement list come from?
The improvement projects and values shown in our system are based on Zonda’s annual Cost vs. Value report. This report is an industry‑standard resource used widely in real estate and valuation.
Zonda builds this report by surveying:
- Real estate agents
- Construction companies
- Remodeling professionals
The survey data reflects typical project costs and how much value those improvements tend to add to a property across different markets. Zonda analyzes this information to create a standardized list of improvement projects and estimated values.
Why can’t the improvement list be customized?
Because the improvement list is derived directly from Zonda’s survey‑based dataset, the available projects are standardized and cannot be customized on an individual basis. This ensures the data remains consistent, reliable, and comparable across properties and markets.
How often is the data updated?
Zonda releases a new Cost vs. Value report each year. After the report is released, we purchase the updated dataset and refresh our system so the improvement list reflects the most current information available.
