Export Pop-Up Notification for Idaho and South Carolina Users

When exporting data from CRS, users located in Idaho and South Carolina will encounter a pop-up notification that must be acknowledged before the export proceeds. This pop-up serves as a legal disclaimer, reminding users of specific state laws regarding the use of personal information.

This article explains the purpose of this pop-up and provides details on the relevant laws.


What to Expect

If a user is located in South Carolina or Idaho, a pop-up will appear during the export process in CRS. The user must acknowledge the message to continue with the export.


State-Specific Notifications

🔹 South Carolina Users

You will see the following message:

South Carolina's Family Privacy Protection Act, Section 30-2-50 prohibits using personal information from a state agency, a local government, or other political subdivision of the State for commercial solicitation directed to any person in the State of South Carolina.

You will see the following message:

Idaho Code 74-120, Idaho Public Records Act prohibits distribution or sale, for use as a mailing list, any list of persons and their addresses and/or phone numbers without first securing the permission of everyone on the list.

What You Need to Do

  • Acknowledge the message by clicking the confirmation button to proceed with your export.

    • Once acknowledged, you will not see the pop-up again
  • Ensure compliance with state laws regarding the use of exported data.

  • Do not use personal data for commercial solicitation or mailing lists unless proper permission has been secured, as specified by state law.
